Monday Monday Monday

I'd like to take a moment to say Happy Birthday to Mister Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He is by far one of m greatest heroes and a fine man who had a huge impact on this nation.
My best friend's 8 year old daughter had today off school. I asked her if she knew why she said "yep, cause it's Mister Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday" so I asked her if she knew what he had done to be so special to have a day named after him and she says "because he wanted everyone to get along, white people, black people, spanish people, he wanted them all to hold hands and sing"
Amen to that!

Speaking of my best friend and her darling daughter.. I have no idea what to do to help them through what is going to be a tough time..

Background.. Kristie got pregnant when she was 19, had Kayla and got married to the baby's father He took off a year or so later.. has been a pretty much non-existant entity until here recently. He'll call and send a little mone here and there.
Ok.. so her dad's a dead beat.. kid had o get used to a father figure not being around and not being a part of her life. Everytime she tries to get close he lets her down. It's sad. Kristie has also struggled relationships seeing as her high school love waked out on her and their child.. as you can imagine; there are trust issues there.
Well, Kristie is somehow able to fight through issues and for the past almost two years has been dating this guy named Mark. He's super nice; loves them both, and in June he moved in with them.
Mark got a job offer in Cali that he can't turn down (and by can't I mean he didn't). Kristie hates Cali with a passion for one; for two, she couldn't move anyway because she is here training. Just when she was building back up to wanting to say I love you let's be together forever, he's leaving.
So now what? "Aunt Taban" isnt quite sure how to help Kayla.. I mean I know how it felt when father figures walked out of my life.. it sucked.. and I cried a lot.. and am still pretty messed up from it (i think that's why my love life is sucky 1/2 the time) and as far as Kristie; she's just devestated.. both for her and for the kid. I mean; Mark is the most stable male figure she has had in her life ever... and there had been marriage talk and well it just sux.. how do I help?



In other news.. there is a strong posibility that I will be wrestling here in Colorado Springs on Feburary 10th.. lets keep our fingers crossed; i'll keep you all updated as it ticks closer.
I had my first real practice today. I wrestled live situations and made it through the whole practice. I am so tired and so sore and my knee hurts but I am totally thrilled!
My tat plans are on temporary hold because my funds went to my mom's car. Boo.. but it was near death and had to be saved. Sooo sad.. but the car lives on and my tats can wait. well whether they can or not; they have to..
So I have a new obsession/love; ok not really new, but I am finally able to sho my love more. Hosiery; of any kind, long socks, knee highs, thigh highs, garter belts, panties.. this stuff is gorgeous; mind you I have no one to wear it for; not even ya'll since my photographers carmera got dropped and I am not shooting a set any time soon. (I know I promised one; and then found out like 3 hours ago the camera had met an untimely death) I'M SORRY! So if anyone wants to get me a present you should go
here because it's spectacular (or you can send me money for my tats.. HAHA.. yeah right.. just kidding)

Thanks for the suggestions about my next piercing! I actually went out last night and got pierced...I finally decided on getting a medusa. I absolutely love it! I'll post some pics soon once the swelling goes down. biggrin
