OMG I cannot believe it. The radio station that I listen to in the morning was doing a story this morning on Dave and his family and the scum bag that stole their money from the memorial service and out of the blue, they decided to do a sort of impromptu donation drive and they raised a ton of money this morning in just a few hours on the air. It was amazing. I was listening when they were doing the news story and tried to call in and they had our friend Eva on the phone already telling them what happened on Sunday, then I was on the radio telling them all about Dave and what a great guy he was etc. And after I got off the phone with the station, I called Jessica to tell her what they were doing on the radio. She had to unpack her radio and turn it on, but word got out and people were donating so much for their family. It really made me feel proud to be from Vegas when the citizens came out in full force and donated to the family. They had Dave's father, David Sr. on and Jessica even called in to thank everyone. It was such a good morning after all the horrible stuff that's gone on this past week. It was a week ago today that Dave passed away and to have this happen this morning really made me feel better about humanity.
They've set up an account at Wells Fargo for the family for donations and everything. It's really just so amazing.

And, finally some really REALLY good news, I got to talk to my sister yesterday and she's doing so much better. She's getting out of the ICU today too!

oh and the radio station that was so wonderful this morning was Mix 94.1 you can listen live to them on the computer and it was Mark and Mercedes in the morning that did the collection.
