I highly recommend reading The DaVinci Code. That book had me riveted almost from the very start of it. OMG it was awesome and, no matter what any religious person says, it did NOT challenge my faith. The reason Catholics despise the book is because they say it challenges the foundations of their church and religion and it most certainly does not. There are verses in the book that reinforce the need for everyone to have their own faith and to keep your beliefs. I'm not a book reviewer nor am I any kind of religious scholar, but this book is the best one I've read in a long time. It did challenge some of the things I've heard growing up about religion but it, in no way, changed the way I feel about my religion or spirituality. I think there was a big deal made over it for no reason. It is, in fact, a work of fiction and a very good work of fiction at that, but fiction just the same. The people who are scared of what this book says, in my opinion are afraid of their own spirituality and question their own faith.
I just wanted to let you know, I'm done with my book and it was outstanding. I found myself looking for any reason to read. I couldn't put it down once I got started. Needless to say, I went to bed really late a few nights so I could read. It would have been a lot easier if I didn't have a house and family to run but, I found a way to work the reading in and finished it. It was sooooo worth the time.
That is the end of my review lol. Have a great week.

editing to add that I am getting ready to go to the store to pick up Angels and Demons. If all of his books read as good as this one, I'm hooked! love
