Joined a new Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym the other day, sore as hell. I almost forgot how much it works you out. I was trying to show my talent enough to show the instuctor I was ready to go to the advanced classes. It worked, I got 3 stripes in one day, pretty freaking sweet for someone who's been out of practice for almost 8 months. Like I said, I was sore as hell afterward though. And I've been learning Pashto at work this week. If you haven't heard of the language don't worry, neither did I before I started training for afghanistan. I've been learning a second language for sometime now, so I thought learning another one would be fun. Nope. If you hear someone speaking Pashto on the streets of America, they're probably a terrorist (that was a joke). I've never heard anyone speak this language in my 27 years of life while stateside. Besides hearing it at work, so I will more than likely NEVER use this language again after this deployment. I know it'll come in handy whie there, but for me to study so hard that will in one year's time be comepletely useless, makes you think. Oh well, back to the grind.
