Spring cleaning, and finding old things

Andy and I took yesterday off so we could go to a BTBAM show, but we ended up too broke to afford the tickets. We stayed home and did some major spring cleaning instead. I found something that I thought had been stolen (ex roommate stuffed a bunch of me and andy's belongings it in a Hannaford bag and threw it in the back room where we keep bottles and cans), and I also found the case to my spore game! The disc has been kicking around my living room for months, and I've been wanting to install it on my new laptop, but I couldn't find the case with the activation code. It was buried in a tote of old baby clothes in my closet.

Aside from the major sinus irritation from all of the dust and dog hair being kicked up during cleaning, the day was a success, and I spent all evening binge playing spore. My eyes still feel a little fuzzy today. It's nice finding things that were presumed to be lost and gone forever. In addition to those two things, I also recovered my favorite sports bra. It was partially hidden under our dryer (also located in the back room). I hadn't been in there in a while, because our dryer is broken, and it's mostly just a storage area.

I also added another box to the 'yard sale' cache. I'm not sure I'm going to have a yard sale anymore though. It's mostly clothes, dishes, cook books... baby things. I think I'm going to bring it to a local shelter for abused women. I know replacing all of the things I lost when I left my last relationship was really difficult for me. I would rather give it to someone I know really needs it, than spend a day getting a sunburn for 75 bucks... or dump it off at goodwill so some corporate fat cat can profit from it.
