My daughter turns 4 tomorrow. I'll have her until noonish, and then she'll go with her dad for the weekend. I spent 4 hours cleaning my kitchen today before I made the cake, and frosted it, and you would never be able to tell that I cleaned at all. My tiny apartment kitchen is not conducive to cookery. The cake came out awesome though, and her party went off without a hitch. My apartment is riddled with ponies and craft supplies.
I wouldn't have it any other way.
I wish I hadn't taken the whole weekend off though. I have a day and a half without Camille, and I have nothing to do. I'm sure I'll be done keeping busy with cleaning by dinnertime tomorrow, and the only thing I'll have left to do is spend money and stream Netflix. Maybe I'll bust out the sewing machine and finally figure out what's wrong with it.
I found a bedazzler at goodwill a few days ago, and I can't find gems for it anywhere. Wal mart was sold out of their refill kits, and Joann only had iron on stuff, and huge studs that I'm not sure will even fit with it. It's the original deal in the box from the 90's. I could buy them online I suppose... but it would be nice to be able to bedazzle my boyfriend (Andy)'s guitar strap with my free time before the weekend is out. The closest craft store outside my town is at least 40 minutes away.
My piano bench broke beyond repair today. It's been in rough shape for a while, but I think it's done for good this time. Bummer for me.. because I really feel like playing tonight, and I have the whole weekend off to work on my latest project. Maybe I can find something tomorrow at salvation army or goodwill. I won't have Camille so I'll have time to peruse. I'll bring a measuring tape with me.
