trying to remember a poem about mancino (spelling?) cherries.
It's about this boy who has this unopened jar of cherries inthe fridge,and it seems like they've always been there, but they're perfectly preserved, bright red, glowing in the thick sweet syrup that he can almost taste; has never tasted.
He stares at the cherries, just dying to eat one.
