In Marion Cemetery, located in Marion, Ohio is the lot for the Merchant family. On top of the pedestal is a 5200 pound polished granite ball. Nothing weird with the marker.

But the ball moves for some reason. The lighter gray spot on the ball is supposed to be where the ball rests on the pedestal. No visible marks on the ball from scraping.

Did find some info about the marker - It's 14 feet tall. For Jacob Fritz and family. Jacob Fritz was a butcher that worked for the Salisman Sausage Company.
t206honus:
The stone was carved by Herman Suhre. He was born in Germany in 1856 and settled with family in Cincinnati. He had a monument company on Colerain Avenue. Due to ill health, he moved to Ripley County, Indiana. Eventually Suhre moved back to Cincinnati and worked in the newspaper buisness. He bought a farm in Brookeville, Indiana that raised bees. Suhre is buried in Madison County, Illinois.
