So, you have Wave Twisters and Scratch? Hmmm... if YOU are into scratching yourself, there are a few DIY videos from Q-bert that are good. I have Scratch Sessions Vol. 2 at the house now on loan from a friend... It is set up so you can do sessions back and forth with the people on the tape... Plus there are a few sessions that are just someone baddass like Q showing off... Him scratching W/O A FADER on top of Ed Rush and Optical's "Pac Man" is NUTS!!! He has a blue screen in the back so it looks like he is a doctor in an ambulance... he's crazy.

You can order a whole slew of DVDs at this addy...

This site is good for turntablism in general

^^It seems to be down right now while I am online, but I grabbed this from my "favorites" so the addy is right for sure.. .check back time from time, it should be back on... they have a lot of clips you can listen to which showcase textbook examples of different scratches... train your ear or learn how to do them... fun stuff.

Lastly, I would advise checking out DMC DVDs... You can get old battles and championships on them... If I was going to get one for entertainment... I might get one where "The Allies" faced "The Mixologists" in a final and the Allies just killed them... But yeah, any DMC video in the past 10 years should be a great choice as well.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin

i used to have a swing in my backyard when i was a kid.. and it was attached to a big oak tree.. and it swung out over our canal.. it was fun until it broke and threw me into the gross water..

hmm....mars volta on vinyl or cd???

i have it on cd, and it's fine. but i have a feeling it would sound better on vinyl. the production of it, reminds me a bit of those old santana records, which have the deep drums and warm guitars, so i think you may get more of the live feel if you pick up the wax, but i can't say for sure.

nice breakfast with friend and love and then a nap. some noodling here and then out to see the incredibles (which was a blast) corney, and goofy, but fun and captured spy/superhero movies so well. my favorite gag was the 'well known...

Hey all right, a fellow Beethoven fan! The version I have is done by the Orchestre Revolutionaire Et Romatique as conducted by John Eliot Gardiner. I love it because they play only the instruments that would have been around at the beginning of the 19th century and play it exactly as Beethoven scored it. I think it really has an edge to it. They do a version of the 5th that I used to own too. smile

What a week. been working sooo hard which is a new thing for me. i've ususally been able to settle into a minimum effort glide at jobs but doing your own thing is all consuming. fun, but also exhausting and the weird part is I my perception of time is getting all warped. yesterday seems like last year and last march seems like last week....

To answer your question, my Thursdayschild moniker was derived from the Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme:

"Mondays child is fair of face
Tuesdays child is full of grace
Wednesdays child is full of woe
Thursdays child has far to go
Fridays child is loving and giving
Saturdays child works hard for a living
But the child that is born on the Sabbath day
is bonny and blithe, and good, and gay."
