The last major storm knocked out power for an eternity. When it finally returned, half of my house decided it was not going to cooperate, my pc refused to function and my washing machine is on hiatus. My dryer works though...go fig.
So now just about everyone in my life believes me to be avoiding them. Hello! What part of I need to pick up double shifts whenever possible to pay for expensive car repairs and storm related maladies do they not understand? I am empathetic when they tell me they have no money to go out. How about a little freakin' reciprocity with the empathy?
On a positive note, I may get the opportunity to head down south to help victims of Hurricane Katrina more so than I can locally. Cross your fingers for me.
