only at this stage can i look back
and feel the full impact of a furrowed brow
seeing how the pent up place of the then
plays itself out
in almost every space of the now

today i am equal parts what i have been and what i might be
and while the present me buzzes in the nether region of wherever
i am better off no longer mask hiding from a scary thought past
and pretending that a happy ending future
is an evil master plan that i can fight against forever

things build and since i am the architect i can also tear them down
these hands drew up the plans for the house
and now its time to change the design to a whole new God Damn town
