1. I used to be a therapist, working with adolescent girls in a residential home.
2. I eat oatmeal with honey in it for breakfast almost every day.
3. I live with a mathematician.
4. I have always wanted to have a pet duck, but have heard that it's way too much trouble (messy and smelly).
5. I also hate clowns! *shiver* ugh!
6. After I finish writing this, I'm going to go and work on archiving a small manuscript collection for a well-known institution in Providence.
7. My parents used to build a haunted house in the basement of our old house for Halloween parties that I'd have as a kid (and not let me see it until the night of the party).
8. I love cartoons so much... I watch them, draw them, dream them.
9. I have nightmares almost every night, though the night terrors have almost stopped.
10. I spent a semester of my undergrad program in New South Wales, Australia.
11. I was born in a Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland, OH.
12. I grew up on a farm in the woods in ME.
13. I recently got the first car I've owned in 8 years, and it's purple!
14. I've been a pizza cook in a Little Caesar's, a deli, and a gourmet restaurant.
15. Yesterday I interviewed an Armenian woman who's grandma witnessed her family being slain in the Turkish/Armenian genocide.
16. I can play the harp, piano, and alto sax. But, I really, REALLY want to be able to play the drums.
17. I am vegetarian... though, I was raised on almost all meat!
18. I love to ski, but can't snowboard to save my life.
19. In high school, I was on the math team, in the marching band, did one year on the color guard, and was captain of the girls' soccer team.
