Yeah, so my life is a big sweaty nutsac right now. There are too many deadlines, not enough time, and oh dear oh dear... not nearly enough money. Moving, starting gradschool, a teaching assistantship, getting a car, yadda yadda blah bleep phooey. And let's just say, that due to all of this stress, my interpersonal skills have been suffering severely (so sorry Sigmatic)! I...

--phew-- here at last. Went grocery shopping today - zzazzah. Also, I just found out that I got a graduate assistantship, which will be paying for half my tuition and all my health insurance, PLUS they will be paying me for my work (up to 180 hours per semester). Go me. I just found out today that female menstrual blood (human) has similar pheromones to...

Yeah, bunch of douchebags. Anyway I might not be moving. Looks like UT is going to offer me a full-time position that would pay like 10K more than the restaurant. Some guy that everyone hated is quitting so I'll be the little blond savior for the surgery department. Plus I'll get my own office away from scumbags and cubicles...hopefully I can keep that beautiful monitor.
user092840:
Congrats on the good news, and welcome to Providence! kiss smile

My body has had about enough of this 'stress' business, with the move (to a place I've only visited once, where I don't know anybody), grad school starting soon, having to get a car, a new job and blah blah whine whine blah. So now I've got this really bad head/chest cold thing that's got me in bed. My boss sent me home from work,...

Cavern for the first time ever! Pictures soon to follow.

Hey, sorry it took me so long to reply but I've been without the web since I moved.

I ended up finding a good place in the Mt. Hope section of Providence (between the east side and Pawtucket) but I had to look at a ton of crap and hear a lot of bullshit before I got it. Good luck with your move; if you haven't found a place I'd suggest craigslist because of the pictures or possibly try calling property management companies.
claudiajean:
Thank you for appreciating my movie quotes! I knew I someone would. kiss

Edited to ask: how were the caverns? and how goes the apartment hunting?

Off to Austin again this weekend, except this time, it's going to be a sexy overnight date!

Gotta love those sexy overnight dates!

I've decided to give my dad a second chance to see if he can find them when he gets back from visiting my sister. But right there is another pile of crap! I've been in New England for about a year now and nobody has even talked about coming to visit me. But this is the second trip from TN to California my dad has made in 3 months! I've moved way down the priority scale since my sister had a baby. Oh well, the fall foliage will get my family here, if nothing else. Have fun this weekend!

I wish we had seen Austin on our recent road trip. From what I've heard it's the best thing about Texas.wink

Thanks for the congrat's.

Finally got the last tooth... and it feels great! Well, great in the sense that I'm not worried about the temporary crown falling out every time that I eat/drink/breath and etc. Sigmatic's out of town for the weekend again.... but, so am I! Finally, I get to see Austin before I finally blow this pop stand. There will be swimming and frolicking and tra-la-laaing...

I'm jealous of the tra-la-laaing....I always wanted to do that.
Never made it to Austin when we were in Texas on our roadtrip. Too bad, I hear it's pretty cool. Have fun!

Wow, work today's been a real bitch! I keep getting these phone calls from patrons that I swear, having never used a fucking computer before! Well shit, it's not even that... they just don't take the time to fucking read! I need to get our site development staff to whip up a fucking electronic hand for these people to hold through a seemingly simplistic process!...

Looking for new apartment is terribly exciting... so much so that I believe I may be jumping the gun a bit! Though we wouldn't need a homestead until August 1st, I can't keep myself from peeking at places online - most of which are opening up June 1st, or are 'available now'. Also, what is with us and moving to places that we've never been...

We're actually going to see U2 tonight. I bought her tix for her b-day. Not my favorite bend, but she really digs 'em and i guess I can put up with Bono's pained vocals and room-filling ego for a couple of hours. We went to our favorite spot in NH last weekend, that was our Anniv. trip, and I'll be cooking dinner for her tomorrow.

I got your email, gotta run right now, but I'll respond tomorrow.

claudiajean:
Between Cranston and Pawtucket, I would say Pawtucket. It's a little closer to downtown and Brown and it's a little less mini-van-driving-we-moved-to-Cranston-to-get-away-from-the-scary-city-for-the-children kind of place. (But that's just my opinion/observation.)
We also spent a nice little chunk moving our shit from LA to Providence. We used a moving company where you pack your stuff in a partitioned section of a semi. It was a little nerve wracking to not have control over the actually moving of all our worldly possessions, but everything made it safely, so it was worth the money.
