My mother died this morning.

There's really no way to sugar coat that. Just before Christmas 2014 she was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer. Mid-February the doctors decided that she was too weak to continue with treatment and she was moved to palliative care. This morning she was to be transported to a hospice, one she volunteered at for many years, to make her as comfortable as possible.

She never made the trip, but I'm thankful at least that the ordeal wasn't long and drawn out for her.

That's really all there is, I don't even begin to know how the process this yet.
