I had a really bizarre experience the other night. I'd just been out for dinner with some friends, and walking back to the station a girl walked right in front of me with her boyfriend. I recognised her just as she crossed in front of me, she didnt notice me, but she was a girl I went to school with. I havent spoken to her since we left, and was never really friends with her, but for a few strange seconds my old life literally walked right across my path. Completely diverged, separate lives, meeting again in the middle at one singular point in time and space. Especially with the recent lifestyle shakeups it was odd to think that that part was really real, part of me. Another lifetime ago. Im hearing about more and more acquaintances getting married, and even having been married myself for 2 years, it feels like we're still all just kids playing at being grown-up.
