Nearly 6 months eh...
It's been busy. I graduated in July - almost got the grades I wanted, but as I already had the job offer, it didn't really matter. I spent a lazy summer in London, exploring and odd-jobbing. N was settled in, and we moved into our new flat in August. Gorgeous little one-bed on Brick Lane Brick Lane Wiki It's a bit noisy, but we are right opposite the 24 hour beigel shops!
A couple of weeks after we moved in, N's mum came to stay for a couple of weeks. We've went to Corrigans in Mayfair again Corrigans, a sure sign things are better than they used to be! I would never have dreamed of spending 200 on a meal a year ago!
I started the accounting training job at the beginning of August, and I've already done two of the 15 exams, and have two more next week. Only catch is I get sacked if I fail!! Still, on the positive, if I don't fail, I get a pay raise in Feb!
Christmas will be in California this year, my parents are giving me grief for not being at home, but if they aren't prepared to have N there too, then I'll spend it with his parents. Being married is a huge headache for getting presents though, twice the family members, and with N being so busy round christmas, it's going to be me doing most of the shopping.
On that note, there may be good news on the job front for N - a possible promotion if all goes well, but as usual there's more than a fair share of politics involved. It does mean he'll be doubly busy though.
Im enjoying London life, even if it does get hectic around christmas, and it's just got really cold too. Im meant to be going out to get a dress for christmas at some point this week, but it's sooo cold I really dont feel like doing all the hassle of getting changed and trapsing around shops.
Time flies doesnt it.
