What is the likelyhood of a 15 year old Renault Clio, with questionable brakes and cooling system (and a water-like noise coming from behind the dashboard), making it 5000km around europe? I mean, with the odometer stuck at 189,000km its not going to miss the odd few extra numbers on the clock. My technical knowledge of all things car related is limited to adding oil/petrol/wiper fluid, and sometimes pumping the tyres. If we never return, send a search party to the longest, most windy road over the alps, and we'll be there, in a little tent, running low on tinned casolet. We'll have been lost to the civilised world for weeks, maybe months. You'll find us huddled together as the last two humans on earth, blissfully unaware that the outside world still exists. Please, if you find us, carefully prise our cold interlocked fingers apart, let us aclimatise, coming back down from being so high on each other. And, if you must, guide us back slowly to that world below.
