Have you ever met someone famous? @rambo @missy @bloghomework

I've gotten to meet quite a few famous people in my lifetime, including a few of my musical heroes. Unfortunately I'm not the type of person to take photos with them, because I get super star struck and hate to ask, but I have a few autographs.

When I was eight I got to meet Jonny Moseley, who is a member of the US Ski Team. He was training for the Olympics at the ski resort in my hometown, and my mother's boyfriend worked there. I remember thinking how cool it was that I was meeting someone so famous in my small town.

When I was a teenager I got to meet the members of Plain White T's, and have all their signatures on my ticket stubs. I've also met the members of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Reel Big Fish, Protest The Hero, Cartel, and probably a few others at Warped Tour.

I ALMOST got to go backstage to meet Marilyn Manson when I was eighteen, but you had to be twenty-one to go backstage, and that was hugely disappointing.

Since I've moved to Austin I've met Scott Russo, the lead singer from Unwritten Law. That show absolutely changed my life. Unwritten Law has been one of my favorite bands since I was about twelve. It's one of the only concerts I've attended alone, and I got to sing my favorite song into the microphone amongst other fans, and then he complimented me on my tattoos and signed my poster after the show.

More recently I got to meet Matt Skiba and Dan Andriano from Alkaline Trio; another pivotal moment, as Alk3 is another favorite band from my childhood. The story is pretty funny, actually. It was the end of their set, and there was a dude standing next to my boyfriend in the crowd calling out to Matt, and my boyfriend made fun of him (all in good, drunken fun) pretending to know the band, but turns out he had actually met Matt through a friend earlier that day, and gave us a backstage pass. I don't think I said more than 10 words to Matt, but he called me darlin' and hugged the shit out of me.

Then last year I got to meet my all time favorite writer when he came to a book signing in Austin, the KING himself!
I've always been a huge fan of Stephen King. My mother loved his books, and I started reading his work at a very young age. The first novel of his I picked up was Christine, and then I read IT in seventh grade and got ALL of the points for our reading program. It was a very brief meeting, as there were no official pictures or autographs except of the one book, Revival, which is now a prized possession. He commented on my hair, and said it was beautiful, and reminded him of one of his characters (but didn't say who, although I'm guessing maybe Cynthia from Desperation/The Regulators) which was the highest compliment I could ever receive from him.

And last, but certainly not least, I've made food for Taylor Kitsch! He's come into two separate restaurants that I've worked at in Austin, and both times I didn't even realize it was him until I was ringing him out.
