And trust me - work for someone else until you're sure you can pull a couple hundred people out to a show on your own. Only then is it a good idea to take risks with clubs and their "low attendance penalty". Been there, paid those.

Toronto's a very picky city, with our choices aplenty on each night of the week. Do send a mail when you'll be doing another show - I'll attend to show some support!
