Memo to self:

When cooking a frozen pizza, SET TIMER.

Ehh, so it's a "tad" overdone. Just a smidge.

*fans smoke out the door*

Incidentally, the local-yokel Meijer no longer stocks my favorite swill. frown

Collection Update:

I caved.

I really had no choice. The receipt I had stating everything was all paid up is no longer in my possession. The asshole agent I "talked" (i.e., mutual yelling & tempers flaring) to threatened to mark this as a Refusal to Pay.

I knew I was fighting a losing battle then. Without that receipt, my truck, my computer, my slightly-above mediocre...

I am looking forward to it.

And dammit, I DID get ice cream on my bed!

ouch.
what evanX said.. any amount that large, it would be worth asking your bank at the time for a record of the transaction. even if you have o pay them $10 to dig i up, it'd sill be worth it.

I just got a call from a collection agency. Evidently, I did not pay for my Freshman II term at GMI. Never mind the school would not have allowed me to register for my Sophomore I term had I not paid up my account. Never mind I left the school in December '99 with my account paid up. Never mind it's been seven years since...

SYH needs a beater.

Nothing too fancy mind you. A Great American Sedan (preferably GM, but a non-rusted out Mopar would be acceptable) would be just fine. A Great American Suburban (3/4-ton, 4WD, stick) would be better. biggrin

NO FORDS. None. No Ford derivatives either. No Lincolns, no Mercurys, no Edsels. If it has a hint of One Rotunda Drive, I do not want it...unless...

That old wanderlust is setting in.

I'm getting an inkling to pull up stakes & trek farther East & up a bit to the Jewel of Monroe County, New York, that city of my birth, Rottenchester. Why?

You want sound, valid, well-planned reasoning or the "Because I feel like it!" reasoning that brought me back to MI?

We'll go with an incredibly asinine reason. I...

Tonight is "Layer Casserole & Basic Instinct Night".

A fine combination, if I do say so myself.

In other news, I picked up the rest of my truck's parts today. Here's hoping a Pitman arm for a '69 C20 fits a '67 (it should, but Chevrolet did tweak a few parts during the 1967-72 model run). *crosses fingers*

If not, I bought an NOS (read:...

What did I do with my Memorial Day?

I took a nap. A nice, long, "good goddamn that felt nice" nap.

Yep, a nap that started at 2PM & ended at 5AM.

Go back a bit to see why.

A nice long relaxing nap is good every now and then. I had lots of good food and lots of good drinks for memorial day then I passed out for a very long sleep.

I just spent the past 22 hours rebuilding the lower half of my truck's front suspension. Parts that have been together for 38 years would rather stay together, not matter how much cajoling/hammering you may do.

Of course it doesn't help when the book says one thing yet your truck has a completely different setup. That two piece steering knuckle sure threw me for a...
