"So I hear there was a CD party last night?"
Indeed there was.
For those of you unfortunate enough to not receives one of SYH'S RATHER ECLECTIC MIX, here it is in its entirety:
"CD Repo Man"--The Aquabats
"Beautiful"--Christina Aguilera (I like it.
)
"What a Wonderful World"--Louis Armstrong
"I Fell Asleep on My Arm"--The Aquabats
"Drinking in L.A."--Bran Van 3000
"Nimble Fingered Gentleman"--Tony Caramia
"Railroad Rhythm"--Tony Caramia
"Working in a Coal Mine"--Lee Dorsey ("Lord I'm so tired")
"Let the Poison Spill from Your Throat"--The Faint
"Star Trekkin'"--The Firm (I am Trekkie! Hear me roar!)
"Three Little Fishies"--Kay Kyser (kiddie song performed by a big band)
"Summer in the City"--The Lovin' Spoonful (incredibly appropriate today)
"Radio Ga Ga"--Queen
"Common People"--William Shatner
"Crazy Downtown"--Allan Sherman
"Drinking Man's Diet"--Allan Sherman (look at the company I keep
)
"A Night on Bald Mountain"--Leopold Stokowski
"The Show Must Go On"--Queen
Best comment about my mix? MetalEric: "Got a few pop tunes on there." It's true, I do. I also have two songs from the King of Song Parody, a cover performed by a Canadian ham, and two from my uncle.
It is rather eclectic.
Drinks were consumed, conversations were had, confessions were made, etc. The usual SG event stuff.
After the event, there was an afterparty. After all, you can't have a good party unless there's an afterparty afterwards. Makes more sense than having the afterparty before the party, but some people are odd like that.
Okay, enough on that train of thought.
So what else happened? SYH & five other folks got an idea that this was an excellent night for...well...let's just say it wasn't as cold as we thought it'd be & it was fun while it lasted, crotchety neighbor notwithstanding.
