I'm back from Cedar Point. It was a blast.
Even with the 20 miles of construction from Monroe to Toledo, it was a great time. I got a nice sunburn, but not from walking around that sunny Saturday. Oh no. I got it driving back to MI.
Yep, myself & Oni did indeed use my rusty-but-trusty Chevrolet as a ferry. Gotta love those little sprinkles of rust that fell every time we hit a bump.
Speaking of my faithful steed, here are the results of the experiment:
Saturday: 196.8 miles traveled, 16.75 gallons of gas consumed. 11.75 mpg
Sunday: 209.8 miles traveled, 17.12 gallons of gas consumed. 12.25 mpg
Bah.
Same mileage as 87. Sounds better, runs smoother, and manifold vacuum at idle & cruising (3000 RPM) increased 2" Hg, but same mileage. Dammit. Maybe I'll try 89...
I'm a mite peckish right now & it's a gorgeous day, so I'm going to have a late lunch/early dinner (dunch? linner?) while I read on my deck.

For those of you who liked my shirt today, here it is.
