What did I do with my weekend?
Well, Friday night I gutted more of my basement & planned the the renovations of the big room in the basement.
Saturday I bought the things required (and some not required) to complete the renovations of the laundry room, workshop, and basement bathroom. Since I still had a few hours before I had to get on the road for Meow's birthday bash, I figured I could complete the wiring for the basement hallway light.
Bad idea.
To wire the basement hallway light required tapping into the workshop branch circuit. However, the outlets had not yet been run in the workshop. Efficient utilization of my time demands I wire the outlets first THEN the hallway light, so I did. I figured I'd have everything wrapped up by dark, maybe slightly-after dark. 6, 6:30PM at the latest, right? Wrong. 8:30PM. Oops. Assuming shower & shave + decent travel time, I'd get to the birthday thingy around 1, maybe 2AM. I informed Meow of said lateness & flew out the door around 9. Got in the truck, stuck the key in the ignition--and zonked out. Cold. Woke up that way too: cold. Amazing how chilly November can be at 4AM.
I spent a portion of today putting the final coat of polyurethane on my floor. It's purty.
The rest of today was spent cleaning up my yard for winter. I saw the first few flakes of the season while I was out there. Better build that compost box before it gets too chilly.
Oh, I also got this Friday (finally). That took up a healthy portion of today as well.
