We're getting closer and closer to finishing the demo. We went crazy with the guitars for a tune called "Threw It Away". Different pedals, different amps, different rooms. Shit sounds good though. The vocals will be finished this weekend and then we'll play around with things a bit. Mellotron will work it's way into the equation somehow.
I hear demos from people who drop shitloads of cash in the studio that don't sound nearly as good as the house recording we're doing. I'm very happy with what my band is capable of accomplishing.
There's a party Friday night which will be a blast with a keg and the nice weather. I have a DD and everything.
Hope everyone is doing good with their lives. Life isn't too bad, is it? When you have something to live for, things aren't quite as shitty.
If you get a chance, check out a band called Enemy Love. They have an mp3 at pitchfork and some at their official site. "Weekender" is a brilliant tune that sounds like a dancier My Bloody Valentine.
