Well, after a long, fairly stressful week, I am treating myself to a fun filled vacation in Toronto this weekend. We leave this evening, to enjoy the caribana festival that starts today. Apparently, its North Americas biggest street party.
Tomorow, We have the Dog Days Concert, featuring Metric at old Fort George. I love Metric, and it is going to ROCK to see them live this summer. After Metric, I`ve arranged for us to attend a pirate costume party until the wee hours of the night. Which reminds me, I need to get my pirate gear together... Arrrr....*-
Sunday, I`m meeting up with some of my old friends, and hopefully new friends, from the Ontario Rainbow Family. They`ve been having gatherings, and drum jams in the Dufferin Grove Park every Sunday, so I finally get to join in, at least once this summer.
Things are good for me now. I have no complaints. Work is good. Finally, and for hopefully at least a week. I dislike trying to control people, to the extent I often have to do in my position, but finally it seems like everyone is ready to be responsible and accountable, and do their jobs right. I am joyous. My personal life is great, aside from being too tired after work to go out and be super social, including a elusive Buffy the Vampire fest. *sigh* I`ve finally bought a bed. Its the rolls royce of beds, and I cant wait to take it out for a spin.
Monday, I`m hosting a Subculture Sewing Circle, and I`ll be make a custom fairy-style bridesmaid dress, and a wrap shirt with flared sleeves. (pics soon) Next weekend, I`m leading a circle with a focus on T-shirt Surgery and Silkscreening, so if you`re interested, message me for details.
