First my snake dies... now:
My mom has two wonderful yellow labs, our entire family loves them to death. Ozark and Buddha. Bestest dogs ever. They're sisters, and very co-dependent.
Today, my stepfather came home from lunch and found Ozark lying at the bottom of the stairs in a puddle of her own piss. He managed to pick up all 90 pounds of her and get her into his dinky truck, and down the street to the vet. Then he called me. Then he called my mom. I went straight there from work. Mom left work and drove like a bat out of hell to get there. Xrays are done, and it seems she slipped and fell down the stairs...... She is completely paralyzed from the waist down. She was already in the early stages of hip dysplasia, we're hoping that she can at least not feel the pain in her hips anymore. Gah.
We're having discussions now about what to do, and trying to get a better idea of what her quality of life will be like, if this turns out to be permanent.

well you could do what drew carrey did for his dog speedy ...like make something to connect to the back with wheels..*shrugs* it could work.....nice pic by the way
