The Countdown Is On
My thesis is due in 30 hours. It is still frightfully incomplete. For those of you who asked, I am getting my M.A. in philosophy. My focus is 20th century French philosophy, particularly post-'68. The thesis is on Deleuze's reading of Nietzsche as a way to get at his ethical claims. My argument is that there is a convergence of the ontological, ethical and aesthetic in Deleuze that is best understood through his reading of Nietzsche's eternal return and their joint rejection of Platonic being and identity. Now, aren't you glad you asked?
All of this blather can be summarized in Deleuze and Guattari's proclomation:
BECAUSE TO CREATE IS TO RESIST.
Wish me luck as I race against the clock.

And "Genealogy of Morals" is one of my favorite works, though I was more into the whole Wittgenstein/Moore crowd.
Is your M.A. where you're stopping?
