So a quick update on the past week.

I had the honor and wonderful opportunity to meet and hear Maya Angelou speak at one of the colleges I attended not too long ago. She is an amazing, inspiring, and one of the strongest women I have ever met.

I was fortunate enough to sit right in front of her podium and I video taped and voice recorded her wonderful speech, recited prose, and she even sang for us.

For those of you who don't know who she is ( shame on you ) no, just kidding... she is one of the most prominent african american feminist icons in American History and one of the worlds greatest writers, poet, performer, and peace activists of our time. She was even asked to speak at the United Nations and President Clintons Inaugural Celebration. Her accomplishments and contributions are far too numerous to mention.
