I am a complete nerd when it comes to different optics. Not in a way that I need the most advanced or expensive ones, but more in a way that I am fascinated by all kind of "worlds" that opens with them. So binoculars, microscopes, telescopes and of course different glass for my camera are definately things on my wishlist.
This is my latest purchase, a pair of binoculars I got from the swedish version of ebay (tradera). Pleasing to the eyes, simple, cheap but still somewhat durable and water resistant, perfect for my current needs. Now in spring the binoculars will give me the opportunity to during the day watch birds and in nighttime the stars and moon, and if I am really lucky Jupiter, it's moons and falling stars (meteors). Or on a sickday maybe I will experience first hand my own Hitchcocks, Rear window :)
On top of that, sitting on a blanket in a field in the dark and stargazing with someone special would be kind of romantic, don't you agree?
