My sister and I have discovered the joys of ordering groceries on line. She placed an order with Safeway and I placed an order with Organic Express. We don't have a car, so we thought delivery of heavy or large items like cat food and litter, paper towels, etc. would be wonderful. And it is wonderful! If you order in advance it only costs $2 for delivery, otherwise it is $7. Cheap! We don't trust Safeway to pick out vegis for us, so I am having organic vegis delivered every 2 weeks through Organic Express. The first shipment is due to come on Tuesday, so we will see what the quality is like. I bought organic lettuce at Trader Joe's once and it looked like it had snail poop on it. Does organic mean "unwashed"? I hope not. We like to pick out our own meat, so we will have to go to the grocery store occasionally, but not as often. Gosh, this is just so exciting.
