Yikes, it's been too long! Christmas was wonderful. Had a great time at my parents, my mom goes all out and makes a traditional Polish Christmas Eve dinner, twelve dishes with no meat (pierogies, cabbage rolls, makowka, dried fruit compote, tons more), extra place setting for the "stranger in need", the whole bit. She had a brutal cold (along with my dad and sister) and still managed to pull it off, and have the house all decked out Martha Stewart style. Supermom I tell ya. Then we went off in the mountains and stayed at a beautiful lodge nestled in the Rockies, an absolutely stunning setting, it was truly like a winter wonderland, like a movie set. Snowboarded for a couple of days and then got my family's cold. Which brings us to present day, I've missed two days of riding due to illness and worked from home today to avoid infecting everyone. I'm in a perpetual state of mid-sneeze it seems and look like a horrible slobbery mess. Lovely...New Year's will be quiet and very low key, just a couple friends and some festive punch. Hopefully this wretched cold will be gone by then. I hope all is well with everyone!!
