Sooo...
I admit, I was kind of surprised to realize that I haven't updated this in over a month (well, over two months). I'm not a natural journal-keeper, but I hadn't intended such an absence. Where have I been? Well, I've been on something of a self-inflicted hiatus from the internet in general. I tend to spend way too much time online, and this summer I decided I wanted to get outdoors, and catch up on my reading. (During opera/theatre season -- September through May, I get precious little time for pleasure reading). So, that's what I did -- with a vengeance, it turns out. I've read about 25 books since June -- some great pieces of literature, some trashy pulp, all pretty enjoyable. I'll see if I can make a list of all of them later.
Anyway, hope everyone's summer was fun. Personally, I'm kind of glad for autumn to be starting -- cool weather and all -- though I'll miss the orgy of reading.
