Paying the bills is nice, but I fucking hate corporate america. I've now had two of my friends dropped out of our development team. Granted, they were only friends through work.
And even granted, I can't offer up a compelling argument to counter the deciding factors when discussing the matter.
But the fact of the matter is they were both decent people. They didn't fucking step on toes, and they certainly didn't have goddamn dangerous egos, unlike some people I know.
Maybe its just time for me to grow up and accept the fact that Darwin is still alive and well, just his claws aren't so damn sharp. Doesn't mean I have to like it, though.
The plus side, is I can drown my frustration in productive work. I know it sounds so incredibly passe, but after spending some time working on things that aren't programming (professional software developers refer to these things as "bullshit", or the slightly more technical term, "fucking bullshit") it feels good to be cranking code again

Reston....you're just down the road! I'm also from New York...wacky.
I keep meaning to put Zeppelin on my favy list but forget. Unbelievably huge oversight on my part.
See ya round.
Hadn't set up any rock solid plans yet as work is quite hectic as it has been for the past year. Of course with over a month's lead time I'm hoping I can squeezeitin
(I'm not exaggerating, I promise!)
