This is going to be it. I know I've said it before, but this is really going to be it. If this present doesn't do it for you, I'll never be able to win your heart. I cherish Sept. 29th for more than just my cousin's wedding day. I will forever be changed in my heart cause of that night. That's the night I finally summoned up the guts to do something that I had been telling myself to do for nearly 8 years. That kiss was the single most memorable moment in my life. Go ahead and think I'm crazy for putting such a weight on a drunken fool's miscue. I may not be the man of your dreams, but I know in my heart, that I would make you happier than you can imagine.
I recall something you said that day, during the ceremony. You said "I don't think I'll ever get married." Well, Miss *insert her last name here* , that would be a complete waste, because it would mean that the owner of that incredibly giving heart of yours, would be lonely for the rest of her life. That would be a horrible tragedy. You deserve someone to love you for the rest of your days. I know I could be that man, but I can't make you love me, anymore than an ant can stop a speeding train. All I can do is hope. Hope that you feel the same way that I do for you.
If this doesn't work, I wouldn't blame you if this put you in an awkward spot, and you might feel that you can't be around me, anymore. I would totally understand. I don't want to lose you as a friend, but if that's what's in the cards, then I guess I can't ask for a re-deal. Just know that I will forever love you until the day that I breathe my last breath.
