Yes, the end is near, but fear not my heathen brothers, Ill be reemerging soon to reclaim my throne as SGCO Nay-Saying Geezer and Provocateur par excellence to repel those evil rightwing Fuckos.

I'm in desperate need of pints of Guinness, streams of whiskey, and lots of buggery. Lots & Lots of Buggery. Help me & Lock up your daughters. wink

Whats up out there in SGCO I havent been able to keep up? Friends please fill me in haiku or senryu format what youve been up too.

At the simplest level, haiku are verse about nature and humanity, written in a 5-7-5 syllable pattern, Senryu while are haiku-like verse, not necessarily about nature, not necessarily in that pattern.

One of the most important aspects of classical haiku is the kigo, or season word, which indicates the season in which the poem is set. Kigo can express the season directly or through implication. For example, many Japanese haiku refer to cherry blossoms, which are a sign of spring.

Kigo in American- English haiku might include goddess orgies (for spring), fireworks (summer), Samhain (fall), and Solstice (winter). The concept of kigo is vitally important to haiku poets. Senryu, by comparison, generally follow the conventions of haiku but don't require kigo.
