ok so she walks up to me and hands me her layaway paperwork. i ask her what she's doing and she says she is going to pay it off. nifty. so i start to ring it up, but then notice that it's a gun. i stop, cancel what i'm doing and tell her to go back to the gun counter because she has to fill out her gun paperwork first. she says that the guy behind the counter (the manager in training who was acting manager while the real one was on lunch) told her to come to me first. i said no. sent her back to the gun counter, and got theresa (the other manger in training) to help her. they're over there for a bit, then they come back to me. i tell them no, theresa says yes, starts to ring it up (explaining it to me as she's going, as if i am the one who doesnt know what i'm doing) then it asks her for the gun serial number. she doesnt have it because she never filled out the paperwork. so she tries to just exit out. nope, cant do that. just like i said. so then she makes up numbers for all that. then sells her the gun, but returns it right away and doesnt take any money. the real manager arrives. they fill out the paperwork, come back, and i sell them the gun. except, wait, the amount is wrong. it should be 264, but it's 281. well shit. it was trying to charge her tax again, even though she paid that with the layaway. so fine. at this point hector and theresa are gone, i have no idea what they did, sheri (the real manager) doesnt know what's going on. the customer sure as hell has no idea. so we say fuck it and hope it works. nope. my drawer was off $33, which was the $50 deposit she paid on her layaway minus the tax it was tying to recharge her. i had to sign a write up slip, but they did note that it wasnt my fault so i wont get in trouble for it.

and if they do try to get me in trouble for that i will quit.

meanwhile, sheri is fucking pissed off at hector and theresa for fucking it all up, so she calls robert (the store manager) to explain it to him and he gets all mad, but she was sure to tell him that it wasnt my fault.

ugh.

i'm just glad to be home.

IT WASNT MY FAULT!!!

the thing is, a couple weeks ago i started a layaway before i realized it was a gun and then hector came over and "fixed" it, but he fixed it wrong and i was told that as the cashier it was still my job to make sure that i didnt even start the process, so i must not let it happen again. and it did. BUT IT WAS NOT MY FAULT!

if you remember anything about this long, complicated, boring to everyone not involved story, remeber this - it wasnt my fault. nope nope nope.

i dont think hector will become a real manager.

which is fine by me, cuz he's creepy. he keeps making comments like "wow you look so hot in those pants" and "if i was your boyfriend (fill in the blank)" i told him today that that was never ever ever going to happen, and he just laughed. ick.

so how are you?

actually by retail standers Hector will prolly be a store manager in a few months. the worst always get to the top for no reason what so ever.

if Hector says that stuf to you again tell him to stop it. then if he does it again tell the manager and they will stop it for you. if it grosses you out you dont have to take it from employees wink

Well ok, school is sliiiiightly more important that becoming a retail manager =P. Assistant manager? You could tell customers the other managers are just figureheads and that you're the power behind the throne biggrin
