oh my god i am so mad!! grrs!!
ok so i go to the vet a few weeks ago to get my cat sasha spayed. they tell me that it'll be $60. fine. while there though i totally fall in love with one of the kittens that a local escue group had there to be adopted, so i adopt her. she's free, sorta. $35 deposit to go towards her vet bills. that's fine, i would've had to pay that anyway! so i go in today to get her shots and they tell me that it'll be $40. i'm like, wow, that seems like a lot considering that that's $35 off. so i ask about it. she says that no, they took the $35 off the other cats spay, even though they weren't really supposed to. i say no, cuz i paid $60 like they told me it'd cost. apparently though, that $60 is actually $60 plus a bunch of other "optional" stuff which they oops, forgot to tell me about. so the total price was actually $95, which of course i didnt realize at the time becuase they took off the $35 already. at first the chick tried to act like there was nothing wrong and like they didnt fuck up or anything, but then once she realized how mad i am about being overcharged without my permission or anything she got much more apologetic and said she'd at least find out why they did all that extra stuff cuz usually they dont. she said there was probably nothing she could do (which i didnt expect) but at least she apologized eventually. grrs! i should be more like my grandmother and keep complaining until i get that money back. cuz seriously, wtf? they tell me it'll be one price then charge me much more without telling me why or anything like that? that's a little unethical.

stupid expensive pets. i need to get a filter for my turtles too. and a whole new tank for the female so she can lay her eggs there. ugh. like i have room.
