I'm feeling spacy and gibbly in general. And not in a good way.

A personal revelation:

I intermittantly buy two tickets to concerts in the optimistic notion I will find 'a date' with someone who really likes the band. This has never, ever worked out. I wind up taking friends at the last minute who have little interest in my eclectic / bizarro tastes. I usually get one ticket, because you can often get better seats that way...but mostly I know I'll have no one to go with. I have two tickets to Social Distortion / Tiger Army at the end of the month. Blarg.

How can one be surly and dismissive of so many people, places and things...and yet still so often tend toward optimism? Discuss.
