So, my tire, the rim, the suspension, the widget, the pollywogger and any other things inside the car associated with the front wheel are officially fucked. 
They are currently checking to see if the frame is bent. Right now the cost is at a conservative $2500 and it could go higher. I mean, I know cars nowadays are meant to crumple on impact, but holy crapstick!
So, I got to call my insurance company and Diane was wonderful. I can only hope the rest of the interaction goes well and I won't be eating dog food the rest of the year to pay for this.
On a funnier note, Enterprise didn't have any compact or even intermediate cars to rent, so they have me a Kia Sorrento which is a massive frigging SUV.
It's gigantic...but at least I'm not gunshy about hitting anything.
