So, I occasionally know people who know people and so I just got back from a press screening of 'Team America: World Police' at the Paramount lot. Matt Stone introduced the movie and he said it was still decidedly unfinished (they're currently still scoring and mixing and such, even though it comes out in two weeks.)
All in all, it was pretty funny, including two laugh-till-you-cry moments. Still, given their past work, it was kind of a let down.
And as if that event wasn't cool enough, I got up early today and went to Mervyns to buy underpants!

Hey, I just wanted to say that the link to that C.I.A. place is so appreciated... I am still sort of new'ish here in LA and north Hollywood isn't very far away, so I'm definitely going to make it out to one of their upcoming events...but I don't know any of the bands that are playing, perhaps you could suggest a good night to go? Is it open when there aren't gigs just to go have drinks or whatever?
