So, just got off the phone with my mom who lives in Kauai, Hawaii. She was on her way to an early breakfast and the car just started to bounce up and and down. She stopped, knowing that it was a quake. (Having lived most of her life in California.) Thankfully she's OK. It seems Kauai still has power, unlike most of the other islands closer to the epicenter (Kauai being furthest away from the Big Island). And it sounds as though there won't be any tsunami's which is another real danger. Of course they're just reporting there might be a bigger one... blah.
