So, I went to a writers group meeting on Saturday about my TV pilot. It was a new group (through my friend Mike) and though I knew some of the guys socially, I didn't know where they were coming from as much creatively. They kind of spun my head a little bit until I could ascertain what the deal-e-o was. They kind of jumped right in to find bigger structural ways to improve it. I was eventually able to get a set of notes that will make it better, but only after Mike talked me down a bit and told me to totally ignore some of their big notes because they were crap and would ruin a lot of the good things about it.

My gal liked it a bunch too. Now I just have to roll my sleeves up and start rewrting.
