So, spent New Years with good friends, which is how it should be. Found a nice drinking balance, so as not to destroy myself as I have previously in December. Got to observe someone else's personal soap opera. Much better to be a fairly sober watcher than actually be involved...especially after the naughty night of passion they were going for was lost in her slightly addled feelings of guilt and his drunken vomiting.

In the meantime, it's 2006. '05 was quite the transitory year for me. Spent too much of it stagnated. One hopes '06 will be more focused and productive in all areas. Dammit.
