Hello my lassos, and campfires


Like Willie Nelson, my heroes have always been cowboys. I have romantic daydreams about campfires, starry skies, banditos, brothels, cowpokes, black coffee, and horses who double as dear friends.

so I will start this blog with a few cowboy songs, most cheezy, all a bit sad.

When i was a kid this song was my favorite, I wore out my bright red disney tape more then 3 times.




I love both real and fake cowboys, the real ones who are tough and mean and cruel and handsome

But i am more charmed by the fake ones, the ones who sang and danced and acted and worked in hollywood (though there seems to be a ton of crossover

Yakima Canutt was a handsome stunt man and fascinating vision of a old timey mans man



Roy Rodgers is a god, I belive angels song sounds like Roy Rodgers



His wife, Dale Evans, is super talented and under rated





so I will leave you on a cowboy note, sung by my favorite musican/actor



I hope to sing this to my kids someday.
