me and boy are looking for places in philly!!!!
there are not enough
's in the world to express how happy i am
i will be near non-preppy bars!! i could get a job!! i could be anonymous walking down the street!! i could get cool clothes! i could avoid malls all together!!! i could make more local friends!! i can see (and sell) art
just the idea of moving out of this suburban nightmare makes me so happy i could do a dance.
i am sick of the lawns, the frat boys, the tiny girls in too much make-up in giant unnecessary SUV's!
i had been so sad this last month, and it was getting so bad these last few days that Doctor Boyfriend not(he can be a little oblivious) and said "i don't see why we shouldn't move if it will make you happy, if it's been upsetting you so much why didn't you say somthing?"
i am so silly for not talking to him about it. sometimes i do things the hard way for no reason.
but we will move to philly! that way he can still keep his job, and i can live among the dirty pigeons! its a win/win situation!!!
he has never lived in a city before, so this week i am asking you to give him some pointers, do any of you have any tips for living in a city vs living in the burbs??

seriously though... did you convert or something? arabic won't really help too much in Israel, unless for some reason you want to go to Nablus or Ramallah...which I advise against. The populations are fairly segregated (except for a few places like Haifa). Hebrew will come to you quickly though, it's similar to Arabic and you'll learn it fast once you get here. Lots of people can communicate in English as well.
What's your story with mandatory serving? Israeli parent? Where does the Muslim thing tie in?
