I was having terrible car dreams last night. Car dreams always make me anxious. I was driving down this very narrow street with a row of cars parked on one side, so there was barely room to squeeze my car down, and, at the bottom of the road, as it turned into a corner, there was a big truck parked, and I thought maybe I could get my car under the truck, but it got stuck, and I had to climb out and up on to the top of the truck and then on to the neighboring building, at which point I remembered I was stuck on top of a building, and terrified.

I don't remember tha last time I was somewhere that warm. I have not seen a temp higher than 60 degrees in months.

I am living, working, training, teaching and studying at a sort of commune/faux monastary. I don't know how else to describe it. The man who invited me here, Yusef, calls it a Kedai. Which depending on who you ask is a word of malaysian/japanese origin meaning anything from temple to shop or village. But that really isn't accurate either. The people in the nearest village seem to think we are some kind of cult and/or paramilitary/revolutionary group. But mostly they think we are crazy and wealthy westerners. But really we are just a bunch of people who have various talents and skills teaching and learning from each other. It is the best place and/or thing I have ever been involved in. I love it.

But that grafitti is damn good, thank you so much. Back in Brookland, in my home---I took a pic of great graffiti on a local park bench. In pen, scratched into the wood it read "NIGGAZ SUCK COCK." Black area too, what the hell.
