hello! you'll be shocked to learn that i've been taking more photos. i've really been trying to improve my lighting so i have less work to do in post-processing. i can definitely see improvement over the last month or so, and it's fun to figure out angles and intensity and shadow and all that stuff. jesus, i'm a nerd.

anyway, the last shoot was the best so far. the model was a friend of my partner, and she'd never done any modeling before. she was a little nervous at first, but she quickly relaxed and just started having fun. that's the best kind of feeling, when everyone is just enjoying themselves and working to create something beautiful.

her dad is really sick with cancer at the moment, and she was able to let all that fall away for a brief period of time and just let herself be caught up in the moment. here are two from that shoot - i still have a bunch more to process, AND i've also got some new landscape photos in the queue as well, so i'll be posting those soon...
