More frightening than everyone caring, is when they stop. It’s one thing to be worried that you have to hide the crazy things that you think from those around you because you know that you could be locked away in a hospital just because someone tells a guy with a degree that you thought the things you think. No, far more frightening is when you realize that no one will stop you. They’ve all given up. No one cares anymore and you’re alone. Well, you and the six other people in your head. Still, when the company is just different versions of you, it can get pretty lonely.
I dare you to go to a hospital. Tell a doctor that you’re hearing voices. People in your head are talking to you. You will never be sane again. No doctor will ever believe -for the rest of your life- that you didn’t hear those voices.
Would you believe me if I told you that I’m making this up?
Of course not. I don’t even believe me and I’m sitting here writing this.
