Tome el 60 autobus, afuera de Los Angeles
Ben Sandoval me estaba esperandome a me
All the punk-rockers and the moon stompers
Estaban en la esquina pidiendo dinero...
Yo empec a pensar, y luego a tomar
No me acuerdo mucho de ese dia
Se me hizo como chiste cuando se acabo el dinero
A donde vamos a los quince aos...
Yeah...I try to add some humor to my posts occasionally... "Maniacal idiot"...I like that. SUms up the old idiotic fart rather perfectly, in my opinion.
Life in Roanoke...hmmmm...well, it's boring. BORING! We have a downtown where there's a few cool bars, but the coolest have closed. They are on the verge of building a fancy art museum here...in downtown Roanoke (drive through some day and you'll see why this is insanely funny, especially if you can see the design concept they've come up with for it!)
There's a lot of religious nuts here. As in, wear a shirt with 666 on it at your own risk. People now think I'm a Satan worshipper because of little things like this. Try explaining Iron Maiden/ Number of the Beast to a fanatical bible thumper!
There are some cool people here, though. The punk community is great. Roanoke is a actually a party compared to some of the neighboring places...like Franklin County. Drive through there and visions from "Deliverance" start flashing through the old brain...
Atrophic interludes weave through my life far too often
for me to fight the biggest enemies.
I have no feelings, like love or pain; it makes me go insane
when I see what's happening to me...
It's funny how quickly one can reinsert themselves into a self-destructive atmosphere. Last night I met up with one of the guys who just got back from Afghanistan. He... Read More
That was a very insightful journal entry. If weall tried role-reversal then I think we would all learn a little bit about ourselves. All I can say is to hold your ground and do what you've gotta do, and it sounds like you've been doing better.
if this is hell,
well, that's fine with me.
all of the wonder (presumably happily)
eager to follow
the fool that's got into
the head of me...
we don't have any doubt.
we're out there making friends.
unconciously rolling through
meanings from pollings -
the answers are meaner sometimes
than the means to our ends.
so this is hell...
what else could it be?

this life is the epitomy of limbo
you can't go forward (at the rate you want)
and you certainly can't go back
it's all a big game
god twisting our arms willing us to say "uncle"
we WON'T say uncle.
In the shower
with her clothes on
she shampoos her hair
and black lines spell mascara down her cheeks.
The milky beige
shower curtain
flaps in the steam
and sometimes sticks
to her back.
I scrutinize
from the toilet seat,
and spit my chewing gum between my legs.
She looks over,
a pale gamines tragedy mask
with clumps of purple hair,
black on one side.... Read More
yags, when the addiction outruns the income wretchedness is inevitable. rather, once yr down the addiction rabbit hole there is no more falling up. i've been privy to more than one version of this same old song. tragic, really, because often it dims some of the brightest potentials. sounds like you were kind, which is all you can be. hopefully she is now/will be okay.
to totally reverse course, the weather is beautiful and schitzy as always. it was bloody warm (80s at least) until about 3 weeks ago, then a week of rainy cold, then warm again, then christmas chills, now 65ish days followed by 20ish nights. seriously, if you don't like the weather in nc go outside and wait for 15 minutes because it will change. yr close by - sorta - is it similar? i see yr topless, so it must not be too cold. (heh)
fyi, i eat a small paddock of produce every day, so the water chesnuts create no digestive havoc.
Todo ese viaje ha sido dentro de Venezuela. Que rico que estes viajando tanto
I'm starting classes on Sept 3rd. Soon my vacations will be gone
