Got back from Whitby earlier on today, Frans just got on the train back to london, am fealing tired and sad now after a long weekend am going to clean the house in a bit coz it looks a bit of a state.
Got to whitby on thursday night after a five hour train journey on a tiny train filled with goths and luggage! Got into the hotle and waited for fran then we went out and met up with peeps at the Buck Inn and the Angel and drank to much considering I had to get up early to set up and be on my feet all day oops!
The stall did ockay in the end but the market on both days was very slow and me and most the other stall holders got very pissed off it, Jo has been overbooking the stalls again so there is less money to go round and there are less people going because she keeps putting the prices up and they are going up again next year so a lot of us wont be bothering again.
Got to the Spa early on Friday night to see Bob's Band The Modern who were fun , Carrie was right when she decrisbed them as new romantictastic! Fran liked them lots!. Katscan and Mechanical Caberet were both very good with Roi and Martin playing eachothers keyboards so to speak! and then they did a surpise short set as Nekromantik thier old band which was veyr good was pleased to see that!
What the fuch Doctor and the Medics were doing headlining I dont know not only are they a shit covers band they are a shit covers band from the 80s just murdering song after song, I'd expect better bands to be on in my local pub for fucks sake and to make it worse a load of arseholes go and watch them yay lets engourage Jo to book shit band after shit band for Fucks sake.
Saturday market wasnt much better but got busier towards the end and we sold a few things so made a bit of money.
Deathboy were quite good on saturday night and played a lot of new songs. Rico were good to start with then I got a bit bored and again NFD the headline band were shit.
As you can tell I wasnt impressed by the headline bands again this year if we'd had to pay full price for our tickets I'd be very fucked off especially as they dont anouce them until last minute I wish wed done what mnost people did and gone to the smaller nights around town and not bothered with the main event, so yeah Whitby can fuck off everyone should go to Infest, Dark City and Beyond the Veil they are cheaper and you get more bands and of a much better quality.
Oh well at least I've got a busy week ahead to cheer me up . off to brighton tomorow To see Juliette and arwen then off to bournemouth to see Hayley and then to london on thursday to stay with Fran and we will be going out to Dead and Buried on friday night for much goth and deathrock! and I'll be doing some shopping to! then back home on sunday to work on orders!
